Within that unit, police officers and sheriff's deputies have the same authority and jurisdiction throughout the city and county. The sheriff says that makes them more effective when it comes to fighting gang violence. New Hanover County Sheriff, Sid Causey said, "By being together we can share intel, office space work on the same problem together and any time you put a team approach on a problem you get a better product and it's just something we're excited about." Why not the whole Department

Why can't both Departments become Metro? They did it in Charlotte and it works. If eveyone was on the same sheet of music, the bad-boys song would be for real and we could curb crime instead of 2 departments bickering on who's jurisdiction it is and the criminals getting away. Everyone wants to be in charge but nobody want to what they are supposed to do; arrest the bad guy.

Gang task force unit

Good move now a moble trailer unit is needed to set up in various locations without notice. It keeps the gangs off balance. remember gangs recruit at all ages. (even nine year olds)
