Perdue's birthday celebration drawing criticism

A majority of North Carolinians think our new governor is doing a good job so far. But a high-dollar reception celebrating her birthday Thursday night is drawing some criticism. The North Carolina Democratic Party said it threw the party to honor Perdue. The invitation asked partygoers to give anywhere from $500 to $10,000 to the state Democratic Party. Now, some are concerned the Democrats are going to use the donations to pay off Perdue's more than $900,000 loan to her campaign.

DID WE REALLY EXPECT ANYTHING DIFFERENT...I mean...we just kept the same ole same ole....cant have change in this state and keep the individuals that caused us to get into the mess we are in in office....This state showed it's utter STUPIDITY ON TWO elections this year.
she might focus on the challenges facing our state and its economy. Or she might have kept that campaign promise to have an early town hall meeting in the Wilmington area after she declined the opportunity to appear at pre-election forums. What's the problem? Are the state's challenges more than she can handle?
We all need to be worried who she is putting into jobs there. I know for a fact that she is considering a man for a position which he knows nothing about. He hasn't worked in 3 years that I have known him. He doesn't like to work either. He likes to give orders but not to help implement them.
And this is one of the many reasons this state is in so much debt...wasteful spending. Was it really necessary to spend all that money on a birthday party for a washed up old hag?
