A Bolivia man has confessed to stealing thousands of prescription pills according to investigators in Brunswick County. They say 46-year old Ritchie Carson broke into two Shallotte drug stores and stole 11,000 pills with a street value of around $110,000.

Surveillance cameras show Carson using a cinder block to break into the stores. Law enforcement says prescription drug busts are becoming more common.

Good Job Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office! Keep up the good work! As a citizen of this county I’m glad those pills will never hit the streets.

I really enjoy watching bad guys go to jail. Since Sheriff Ingram has taken office, he has made a major difference in our County. I have the highest respect for the Sheriff’s Office and the Shallotte Police Department. Other Departments need to model their Departments like these two. Sheriff Ingram and Chief Gause are wonderful men. What a great combination. Way to go GUYS!
