WILMINGTON – New Hanover County School leaders, including outgoing Superintendent Dr. Al Lerch, will meet this afternoon to try and find ways to cut another $2 million out of the next budget.

The county is nearly $14 million in the red.

We were told this morning that the media will not be allowed to attend the meeting.

Obviously, they have something to hide. It is not right for the public, who pays their salaries to not be allowed to know what they are up to.
