BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents of a string of shed and garage break-ins. Investigators say they’ve been happening on Oyster Lane and Buckeye Road near Supply while the homeowner is away.

Deputies say to protect your property make sure you have properly working exterior lights. You can set them on a timer or with a motion detector. When you’re away, ask a neighbor to help keep an eye on your property, but remember it is not their responsibility to secure the property.
