WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Big businesses may not have the customer care that local shops do, but their financial advantage usually means better advertising… And some small businesses have trouble getting noticed.

That’s why the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce puts on the Business Showcase and Expo. Saturday marked the seventh year that over 60 small businesses got to showcase their goods and services at North Brunswick High School.

Small business owner, Mike Triggiano is also part of the Chamber. 2011 was his first year at the Expo. “It’s great for the community to be able to come out here and see what some of the local businesses have to offer. They’re able to help support the businesses in the area and try to keep our money local, and that way, we’re able to give back to the community through the various charities and sponsored events that the Chamber does and scholarships for the high school.”

Businesses from home decorating to veterinarians to natural beauty products set up booths to market their products to interested individuals from all over the area.
