SALISBURY, NC (AP) — Is the legendary Bigfoot a Tar Heel? A Salisbury man thinks so, and he’s trying to prove it.

The Charlotte Observer reports that Michael Greene plans to lead an expedition Saturday in search of Bigfoot in the Uwharrie National Forest in Montgomery County.

Greene says he shot three minutes of video of a creature he thinks was Bigfoot in the national forest two years ago.

A crew from the cable channel Animal Planet will join the expedition. The channel is making a series on reputed Bigfoot sightings around the country.

If the fabled animal is in the Uwharrie, it’s doing a good job of hiding. At just under 79 square miles, it’s the smallest of North Carolina’s four national forests.

I am pretty sure that it is just Wilmington City and county council, taking turns dressing up in a Gorilla costume. Anything to distract us from the fact that they have no clue about what is going on.

Years ago we would hunt the Yeti in the Uwharries. I had a change of heart in the ’80s & started just shooting right over their heads & demanding that they “halt!” I would then capture them & take them to the family farm and rehabilitate them. We would teach them how to not disturb hikers, hunters, fishermen & boy scouts. In addition, we improved their ability to make moonshine as well proper form with the harmonica. However, good luck filming them, some of the ones I sent back to their natural habitat never really turned their lives around & may still be seen smoking left handed cigarettes & car jacking 4WD’s.

I belive in Bigfoot or “Big foots” but it is wierd that with all of the trail cameras out there that no one has gotten it on film. I speak of a good clear image, not the questionable videos that exist today.
I’m sorry but If I happen to run into one, I’ll have to place a bullet in it just to take care of the “myth” thing. I’d do the same thing if I came across the mysterious Black Panther as well. I think if someone really wannted to find it, they’d be looking around the coast of interior Alaska.
