WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The red carpet was rolled out in Wilmington tonight.
Cucalorus hosted the 2nd annual An Evening at the Oscars at the Hilton Riverside in downtown Wilmington. It was a chance for folks in Wilmington to get gussied up and watch the Oscars in style.
Three screens surrounded guests as everyone mingled. A silent auction was held to raise money for the Cucalorus Film Festival. Items such as vacations to Bald Head Island and Wrightsville Beach were auctioned off.
The two films “Dogtooth” and “God of Love” were both shown at the festival and were both up for Oscar nomination.
