ARKANSAS CITY, KS (AP) — A southern Kansas packing plant has recalled more than 7 tons of ground beef products after lab tests detected E. coli.

The Arkansas City Traveler says Creekstone Farms Premium Beef confirmed Wednesday that it had recalled 14,148 pounds of ground beef.

The company says the tainted meat was produced Feb. 22 and shipped to Missouri, Iowa, Arizona, California, Georgia, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington.

Creekstone and the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service say they have received no reports of illnesses associated with consumption of the questionable meat.

Great! You scare everybody but give no details.

Under what name is the meat being sold? What stores are carrying the meat? Please don’t put the Arkansas link in for info….Complete the story yourself.

What good is your “comment” if you don’t provide useful information?
We NEED TO KNOW where this beef is distributed, how much and most importantly…what brands. The people of NC go to you to find this information and all you provide is a general comment which we can find anywhere. If you are just repeating another news media statement….DON’T BOTHER!
