WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — As we continue our preview of the Azalea Garden Tour, we find a cozy, enchanting garden with plenty of relaxing space.
Step into the front yard of Victoria Pridgen’s home, and you’ll be greeted by a relaxing fountain and a sculpture framed with white Lady-Banks roses, all framed with blossoming Yoshino cherry trees. Pass through a covered archway, and you’ll find yourself in the back garden, which is clad with a koi pond, a gazebo and plenty of shade for a nice relaxing spring day.
“I just hope mainly that people, when they come, that they’ll take home with them something that will inspire them,” Pridgen said. “Maybe something to do in their own gardens.”
You’ll also find some local favorites including camelias, Encore Azaleas and yellow Carolina jasmine. This is a perfect example of how you can transform a small space into a beautiful one.
