NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (NEWS RELEASE) – On Friday, April 1st, New Hanover County Vice and Narcotics detectives wrapped up a month long investigation and arrested one subject for numerous heroin trafficking charges. Detectives arrested Johmar Monte Galloway, after completing a vehicle stop at the intersection of 12th and Wright Street. Galloway was found in possession of 100 bags of heroin and was taken into custody.
The investigation continued and Sheriff’s detectives searched the residence at 309 S. 16th St. An additional 750 bags of heroin were located at the residence. According to Captain D.A. Ciamillo, this was a significant arrest. Ciamillo stated the investigation was aided by the Wilmington Police Department. “It was a great team effort that made this investigation a successful one”, Ciamillo said.
The 850 bags have a street value of over $20,000.
