WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Courtyard Marriott was the site for a Civitas Institute meeting Tuesday night. The purpose? To see what North Carolina voters think about the current direction of the state and federal government.
“With Civitas we like to educate people on what’s going on in Raleigh and in the state,” Civitas Institute President Francis De Luca said. “We hold these poll events to discuss our state wide polling on policy and politics it helps make the educated citizenry and an educated voter.”
De Luca and Big Talker Radio host Chad Adams presented poll results. One poll showed that Gov. Bev Perdue’s approval numbers remain low, while President Obama’s approval is evenly split between positive and negative views among voters. The 600 people who were polled say they want action from the legislature.
