Cat killed in house fire

WILMINGTON, NC (NEWS RELEASE) – WFD crews responded to a residential structure fire at 2111 Creecy Ave. The fire was quickly docked down.

A primary search revealed all clear, however, on secondary search a cat was found to have perished in the fire.

The occupant was not at home at the time of the fire. No injuries have been reported. No cause has been determined, investigator just arrived.

I think they do, because you’d have to wonder about a “God of love” who gave us cats and dogs to serve as our companions but then wouldn’t let them into heaven for us to enjoy their company there.

So I believe this cat is running around in his new home where the days are always sunny and warm, the squirrels are always fat and slow, and there are no cars.

(Squirrel heaven is in a different part of heaven, where every tree is a pecan, the CATS are always fat and slow, and there are no cars.)
