33 pounds of marijuana in Wrightsville Beach and our police department has no idea. No more small town police chiefs. WAKE UP we are not a small town. We are part of a major metrolpolitan area. Look West. What do you see? We need a law enforcement professional to bring us into the 21st Century. Fresh perspective is needed, not gimmick plans that provide resources for criminals. Mayor Cignotti was unable to attract one candidate to WB with a Masters Degree? Pathetic! Thanks NH Sheriff for policing our beach. See you in November Cignotti.

I suppose there will be a lot of disappointed pot heads in Wrightsville Beach this Easter holiday.
On second thought, there’s probably still plenty more there for them.

True republicans believe the govt should stay out of markets. The black market will always exist. Stop the drug war. Why did we let the repubs lead us into this waste of $ & constitutional rights. Tax n regulate or shoot yourself in the foot.

It’s funny that in North Carolina the state sells the booze. You can get drunk. Often people get in fights or drive their cars illegally while under the influence. Yet, smoking pot is illegal. Never met someone who got stoned and wanted to start a fight. I don’t smoke it, that’s a personal choice. But there are states where you can grow it, sell it for medical purposes, even produce cookies and butter with it. In NC, they just clog up the courts and already overcrowded prison system with marijuana cases which cost taxpayers more money. North Carolina will eventually learn that controlling production and taxing marijuana will lower the cost of our justice system, prisons and boost ta revenues. They could even sell it at ABC stores right along side expensive brands of booze.

The perscription drugs and liquor flow. If ya feel down, take a pill, take one to bring ya down but don’t smoke that joint. Go to the state run liquor store and get ya a half gallon or go downtown and get smashed but don’t smoke that joint. If people could get a buzz on smoking pine trees, they would cut em all down but the liquor and pills would still flow. lol.
