BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- It looks like a Brunswick County mother and son may get to spend Mother's Day together in jail.
Detectives arrested 70-year-old Delphia Mae Marlow Bryant of Supply after they say she tried to smuggle a weapon into the jail to her son. Investigators say she brought two money orders and a box of prescription nasal spray for her son Craig Juan Bryant, who is in jail for murder and other charges.
A jail nurse checked the box and found a razor blade inside.
Mom is now in jail under $10,000 secured bond.

Update on the charges.. The case was dismissed this week.. I hope WWAY will report this info as prominently as they did the original story.

If he is found guilty of the charge
let her be equally punished. Receiving any public support of any kind -- end it immediately. In public housing -- throw her out.
If he gets 20 years, let her serve 20 years -- doing public service work.
Bed pan duty at the hospital or nursing home. How about wearing a sign around her neck -- I tried to help a convicted mruderer escape.
