Sharks need more host families for players

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Sharks of the Coastal Plain League (CPL) announced they are still in need of six (6) host families for their players for the summer.

The Sharks whose 15th season begins this May need some help from the community. They are asking that families or individuals who have a room or two available and would like to have a Sharks’ baseball player stay with them throughout the summer contact the Sharks office at (910) 343-5621.

The Wilmington Sharks are members of Coastal Plain League, the nation’s hottest summer collegiate baseball league. Celebrating its 15th season, The Coastal Plain League features 15 teams playing in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The CPL gives college players the chance to refine their skills with the use of wooden bats. Players are housed with local host families for the summer.
