I have known this kid since He was 5 years old. He was a good kid. However He got into useing Drugs and that is the Great Destroyer of ones life. It will make you do things you would never consider doing if you were not on Drugs. I wish the Law could get every Drug Dealer off of the streets of Wilmington and put them away for along time. They don’t realize they are destroying people and their entire Families just for a dollar in their pocket.I have a Son who was a user of drugs for many years, but…by the Grace of GOD, He is now clean for 11 monthes. Wayne needs help to get off of the Drugs and He needs to pay the penalty for what He has done.I donot condone what He has done, however He does need help. I Pray for him and all the people who are caught up in the use of drugs and I PRAY for all their Families as I know what the Families are going through. Don’t give up on these people. There are Human beings with and extreme sickness that needs help. I as a Mother of a former User will continue to Pray for all these sick people. And I will continue to Pray that Law Enforcement can get these desturbed selfish Drug Dealers off of the streets.Wayne would never done something like this when He was in His right mind. I HATE what has happened and feel only hur’t in my heart. Wayne was like my own Son when He was growing up, but I have not seen Him much in the last few years since He began His use of Narcotics.

You know…the ones who DIDN’T become slaves to drugs?

The TRUE tools of Satan: Lack of self-respect, character, and individual responsibility.

Wow! And you should know! Because it’s so obvious from your verbiage that you must be a highly educated rocket scientist!
If you are so ignorant (and I stress, IGNORANT) about the facts of this or any other situation, why don’t you do the world a favor and keep your moronic comments to yourself.
You, and ALL of the rest of you who are so quick to judge, should do a little research on drug and alcohol addiction. It is a disease. Left untreated, it is progressive and ultimately fatal.
If he has done what he is accused of (and one of the rights of living in this country is that you are innocent until proven guilty), I assure you it was not because he woke up in his right mind thinking “hmmm, it’s a nice day out, I think I’ll go rob a CVS for some drugs”.
Wayne Berry, when not under the control of his addiction is and has always been kind, loving, caring and a man who desperately loves his children.
I pray that none of you or any that have a son or daughter, brother or sister, niece or nephew, mother or father are ever in the grips of this disease.
But if it does happen, I hope that someone loving and kind points them to AA or NA instead of someone like you who feels qualified to be judge, jury and executioner.
Oh, and by the way, someone already has that job and certainly doesn’t need your help.
I certainly hope you don’t call yourself a Christian but if you do, keep this in mind, one day you will face him too!

It is hard to believe that Wayne is capable of doing this but i am not surprised. I have a 15 year old son by Wayne and don’t know how to tell them that this has happened! My son has always thought Wayne hung the moon even though i knew better, but never once spoke a harsh workd about him. Everything happens for a reason, and i sincerely think that if this hadn’t of happened then he probably would have ended up dead. Unfortunatley i now have to be the one to tell my son that the hero he once thought he had is no longer that hero. I moved away from Wilmington a long time ago to raise my son and i have to say it was the best decision i ever made. I have a good son and i am glad that he wasn’t subjected to Wayne’s life over the past few years. My son will not turn out like Wayne as long as i have a breath in me!

wayne wayne wayne I don’t know weather to defend you or chastise you.well let me think just for 1 min.hmm how many of these comments are from people wsho have been denied to see there children for a period of over 1 wk. much less months .how many of these folks have even been threw half of the mental and emotional challenges you have been threw not to mention what was most likely the cause of what stared your drug addiction (chronic pain)i am not exscusing what you have done but i just wont others to think before they spk that are only wanting to chastise you for making a very badd decision.again i am not escusing what you have done.

Lil wayne thanks for standing up for your dad if he could read what you have written i promise you it would first bring tears to his eyes and then a glimmer of hope in his heart.

You wrote,
“how many of these folks have even been threw half of the mental and emotional challenges you have been threw not to mention what was most likely the cause of what stared your drug addiction (chronic pain).

Oh WELL then, why didn’t someone say something?
As long as he wasn’t a junkie who liked to use drugs, but instead a junkie who was in pain and needed a fix.

The pitcher “threw” the softball,

It appears to an outside critic that Wayne has put a lot of people “through” a lot of anxiety by his inconsiderate actions during his life. The latest one was the poor, unfortunate pharmacist at CVS.

I assume that the other blatent errors were typos.

2015 years 10 months ago

…mental and emotional challenges? Chronic pain? Heard it all before. Only ol’ Wayne has faced those – nobody else has.

Why even think of chastising him? When you’re willing to excuse total failure in life, it’s a short jump to excusing armed robbery.

I do my very best to follow the teaching of the good book. I am not successful in living as I should all the time, but I try. The Holy Bible tells me I am not to say good morning to a person like this nor am I to give him so much as a morsel of bread.
Maybe you should read the book. I don’t think Carl ever read it.
The Bible says that If he was in the church he is to be cast out, and turned over to the devil and let go his way, until he repents, and amends his ways.
I am a member of First Baptist church here in Wilmington.
what church do you attend?

You are not judging people when There are pictures of them committing armed robbery. He was not arrested for missing sunday school class. Understand good little boys and girls don’t carry guns and shoot crap into their veins. Join the real world. this is a very bad person, for what ever reason he chose to go bad shoot drugs in his arm and carry a gun and rob people. Plane and simple. He needs to be but away for a long time. He lost the right to walk the streets as a free person

The only person who can judge anyone on this earth is God. Wayne probably hasnt been the greatest father he could of been. But he loved his kids. Wayne’s father was a piece of work too. If you only knew the struggles hes been going through the past few years, you might understand. There is no justification on robbing a store. But my brother would NEVER do that in a right state of mind. Ive listened to him and talked to him almost every day the past couple of months over the phone talk about how horrible his life was, how he felt like he had no one to turn to. No family, no friends. Wayne was very depressed and sick. He had metal rods put in his legs a few years back causing him serious pain. Those pills he was put on made him develop an addiction to them. He’s been crying out that he needs help. That he wants to die. He was denied his meds last week and its so sad and unfortunate that he felt he had to rob the pharmacy for pills…and that he relide on them so much. He didnt rob cvs for money. He needed something for his pain and addiction. For anyone who wants to call him a “junkie”…he might be. But he was prescribe to them by a doctor. Its terrible that these pills that causes people to do horrible things like this for example, or even dying from them…are prescribe by our family doctors. No one on this site or even people surrounding Wayne, have ANY idea the thoughts he’s had, the struggles hes dealt with and the pain.

Christian…I love you and Im very proud of you wanting to be a marine.

what causes you to think that? He’s being held under a $50,000 secured bond. He does not look like he could come up with the $5,000 required for the bond. And he does not look young enough to be a boy toy in Columbus County.

that was the same guy that robbed the other cvs a couple days back wont be surprized if he dont rob another pharmacy

Athough I am shocked, I am not surprised. . Wayne has been going down hill for many years now. I have a 15 year old son by Wayne that he rarely has anything to do with. Our son had his 15th birthday last Monday and he didn’t even call him. Now Unfortunatley I now have to be the one to tell my son what Wayne has done. My son has always thought Wayne hung the moon even though i knew different but never said a harsh word about him. Everything happens for a reason and if this hadn’t of happened then Wayne would of probably been dead in 5 years or less at the rate he was going. I moved away from Wilmington many years ago to raise my son, and it was the best decision i ever made. I am very glad that my son has not been subjected to Wayne’s actions over the past few years. I have a wonderful son and as long as i have a breath in me he will never turn out like Wayne Berry!
