WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A New Hanover County fourth grader’s artwork just missed on a chance to have his artwork on Google.

At an awards ceremony at Google’s New York office today, Anderson Elementary student Joseph Miller was named one of three national finalists in Google’s annual Doodle 4 Google competition.

Google surprised him at school earlier this month to let him know he was a regional finalist.

The winner of the contest is a second grader from California, who’s doodle will be on Google’s homepage tomorrow.
