Let's head down to Pleasure Island and check on Havana's. The Caribbean-themed restaurant in Carolina Beach lost a half point for some rust on non-food surfaces, add two for a food safety course, and Havana's has a 101.5.
A reinspection and reinstatement. Inspectors in Brunswick County found a problem with the walk-in cooler and with sinks in the kitchen and restrooms at the Breakers in Ocean Isle Beach serious enough to issue a permit suspension. Restaurant management responded within the week to resolve the problems and county inspectors rescinded the suspension. Breakers is back.
