WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Toddlers around the Cape Fear now have a treehouse to call their very own.
Thanks to a grant from the Landfall Foundation the Children’s Museum of Wilmington held the grand opening of the Forest Friends Toddler Treehouse this morning. Tots and families came together to test it out.
“It’s great for our guests that are four and under,” Children’s Museum finance director Allison Farmer said. “They can enjoy some of our other exhibits, certainly our courtyard and our art room and our science counter, but this is just for them. It’s a lot quieter. The field trips would never be in here, and it’s safe for them to kick their shoes off and run around.”
Allison also said it’s a great place for tots to come learn about different senses. They also provide a lot of child-friendly books.
