WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — An Oak Island woman says she’ll pay off her car loan and save for her three children after winning big in the lottery.

Hair stylist Karen Peele bought a Powerball ticket at the Kangaroo Express on Market Street in Wilmington. She matched five white balls in Saturday’s drawing. That wins you $200,000, which is $136,000 after taxes.

“I’m ecstatic,” Peele said about getting her check, according to a news release from the NC Education Lottery. “It’s real. I feel great. I’ll sleep easy now.”

She says she might use some of it to buy a new car.
