MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WWAY) – Singer Dolly Parton is hoisting the Jolly Roger in Myrtle Beach as she opens her new dinner theater this weekend.

Cacky talked exclusively with Parton this afternoon and will share that interview with you coming up on WWAY NewsChannel 3 at 5:30 p.m.

Parton says her western-themed Dixie Stampede show was very successful over 19 years but says it was time for a change and pirates are a theme that everyone can enjoy.

“Pirates Voyage” features two pirate galleons and a sunken wreck in a 15-foot deep indoor lagoon. It opens tonight evening with a VIP performance and opens to the public Saturday night.

The show features pirate battles and mermaids and represents an $11 million investment.

    I like Dolly!
She sure is talented and besides, a true Capitalist!!!
    Nothing wrong with that!
Hope Dolly knocks ’em dead with this move and makes many, many billions!
Look at all the people she has employed with her many, many talents, and building projects, look at all the taxes she has paid, and she is not done yet.

    Go Dolly!!!

Purchased 5 tickets paid a extra for the best seats, seats given H2, well when we were seated it was at the very end. When the show started we could not see a thing. The personnel or performers were catering to the centre viewers, most of the action was also at the other end from were we sitting. The two grandchildren a my brother from England were very disappointed, as my brother put it, that was a ripoff sorry you paid out over $200.00.
So over all the show sucks and is waste of hard earned peoples money!!
Never again will I ever goto a Myrtle Beach show they are all aimed to scam as much as they can out of you.
