BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – Three beach communities in Brunswick County are home to the most expensive home prices in the state, according to the latest Coldwell Banker Home Listing Report (HLR).

Ocean Isle Beach tops the list, where the average price of a home is almost $680,000. Sunset Beach is next where average prices run just over $480,000. Oak Island is third. The average price of a home there is $436,000.

Wilmington came in 14th with an average price of $282,000, surrounded by communities in the Triangle like Holly Springs, Cary, Raleigh and Apex.

Try to sell one and you will find out very quickly how much they are worth.

My home In B.C. was just recently reappraised and the property tax value is well above what it is worth especially in a bear market. I would sell it to the county for what it is worth to them gladly and then I might really believe this story.
