RALEIGH, NC (AP) — A North Carolina woman is hoping to lobby
President Obama and Congress away from considering cuts to the
Medicaid program that pays health care costs for the poor and
disabled.

Single mom Linda Guzman of Chapel Hill says she’s talking
Tuesday to White House officials and aides to U.S. Rep. David Price
and Sen. Kay Hagan, both North Carolina Democrats.

Guzman says she’s trying to protect the services crucial to her
son as negotiations over raising the federal debt limit and cutting
budget deficits turn to costly government services.

Guzman says her 17-year-old son Javi (HAH’-vee) suffers from
autism and other ailments. Guzman says without Medicaid, her son
would have to go to an even more expensive institution or she would
be unable to work and pay taxes.

No one challenges Medicaid for those physically or mentally unable to provide for themselves.

It’s the Baby Factories and the physiclly and mentally able, who refuse to seek work or alter their lifestyle, tht reasonably thinking tax payers object to.

Single Mom — does she get no support from the Father or ex-husband? Does the Father have health insurance to which the boy could be added?
