WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington City Council members approved the Wrightsville Sound Small Area Plan at its meeting Tuesday night. The vote comes after six community meetings were held to get stakeholders’ and the public's input on the plan. The small area plan is designed to improve transportation development and pedestrian and bike facilities. The area covers the far eastern end of Wrightsville Beach and surrounding areas.
