WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Local Harry Potter fans have made tickets to tonight's premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 disappear.
Workers at Regal Cinemas at Mayfaire say all 15 theaters at are sold out at for the midnight showings, including the 3D screening. They say tickets to 13 theaters sold out quickly went they went on sale several weeks ago. Tickets to two more theaters added this week sold out within a couple of days.
Mayfaire started seating for their midnight showings at 7 p.m. and though many fans were four and five hours early, it didn't stop their enthusiasm.
"It's the only seven books I've ever read, so I just thought I would dress up because its the last sha bang," said Leighton Upton, a Harry Potter look-a-like.

Brings back memories of the
Brings back memories of the 70's, and single screen theatres. Sellout crowds were common then. Now they just put it on 5 or 6 screens. Within a week, it can exhaust 50% of its sales.
