ROWAN COUNTY, NC (WSOC-TV) — A federal investigation is under way after pictures surfaced of rock stars with firearms in Rowan County.

Eyewitness News has learned a former Rowan County police officer works with musicians like Tommy Lee of Motley Crue and Bret Michaels. Eyewitness News received photos of the musicians at the Rowan County Peace Officers Association, where they were brought to fire guns.

Mike Price owns property near the shooting range. He said he’s heard gunshots but was surprised to see the pictures.

“That’s pretty cool. I don’t know if it’s legal or not,” Price said.

Price added: “I believe it’s their right as well as the police officers’ to shoot and enjoy and have those things for personal safety and for fun.”

It could be illegal if any of the men has a criminal record that prohibits them from using guns.

Now this is stooping to digging. No press agent has the reason or right to cast doubt or dispersion on any person without probable cause and only then if they choose to risk their creditability.

Doesn’t the federal government have something else to do besides worry if Bret Michaels and Tommy Lee are legally shooting guns at a firing range?

    Really? Profile much?

Worry about the people who are shooting AT OTHER PEOPLE!

I am happy to see rockers out in the daytime, doing anything.

this really is no big deal & is happening all the time in the Tex/Mex border towns. If you want to shoot or kill something, just ask the ATF. They’ll give you the guns (lots of them),so long as you promise to do something horribly illegal. Its not because they’re a political fascist arm that wants to unfairly paint the US as an evil insane society so they can surreptitiously further legislation to strip the rights of citizens, its merely to allow hard rockers with drug problems and the Mexican cartels that sell them the drugs to let off a little steam.
