Hammerheads inch closer to first place

HARRISBURG,PA (WWAY) — The Wilmington Hammerheads won two road games over a two day period on their northern road trip. On Friday Wilmington defeated FC New York 3-1. On Saturday the Hammerheads knocked off Harrisburg City 2-1 to pull within three points of first place Orlando City for the top spot in the USL Pro American Division.

Harrisburg scored first on Saturday night, but Wilmington came back to win 2-1. Chris Banks scored the game winner for the Hammerheads. Andryi Budnyy scored Wilmington’s first goal.

WWAY’s Coach’s Corner will showcase highlights from Saturday’s game on Sunday. The Coach’s Corner will air at 6pm on Sunday on WWAY. We’ll also feature a plays of the year music video on the Wilmington Hammerheads. This is a must see for Wilmington soccer fans.

I think this Friday’s game is going to be televised on Fox Soccer Channel. It was a good match the last time LA came here.
