WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County Sheriff’s deputies find a major marijuana operation and arrest one.

Deputies executed search warrants at two separate homes and found more than 220 marijuana plants worth $200,000. Police say most of the plants seized were mature plants ready to be harvested.

Police arrested 48-year-old Brian Barlow. A second suspect involved in the grow operation is expected to be charged in the near future.

The N.C. Dept.of Revenue enforced the N.C. Dope Dealers Tax Stamp Law in the 1990’s in which hefty fines and property seizures were levied against dope dealers arrested & who did’t buy a N.C. Dope Dealers Tax Stamp! The State & participating N.C. Law/Enf. Agencies in the arrest ALL came out very well, as well as cash revenues to the N.C. State Dept.of Revenue. True ! Here, we have good revenues — waiting to be collected .

Thanks for wasting my tax dollars on this bs. Gov’t needs to get back to basics, and keep it’s nose out of what’s in my lungs! Go after real criminals. All marijuana prohibition does is create a black market, and transfer it into the hands of criminals. Did no one learn a lesson from alcohol prohibition? (Witch is far more dangerous than weed, and worse than cocaine in some studies btw.)
