Columbus County, NC (WWAY) — Just a day after Allen “Frog” Strickland posted a $1 million bond on charges of damaging property, the teen’s car was stolen. Strickland’s 2008 BMW was stolen from his home on Saturday according to Tabor City Police. The vehicle was recovered later in the day out in the county off of Fair Bluff Road.

“It had been vandalized significantly,” said Capt. Dean Foley of the Tabor City Police Department.

No arrest have been made at this time.

I love frog. Too bad I’m not an old man.

All those who are complaining about TV-3’s coverage of the soap opera in Columbus County- There are several other local stations. If you do not like their coverage push the clicker.

  • tshine says:

Get your facts straight Allen did not know he had insurance on his house and that came out of the insurance people own mouth, befor you go saying things make sure you know what you are talking about. I’m so sick of people from Tabor City doing nothing but talking trash about this young man, didn’t your mother teach you that if you can’t say anything nice than keep your mouth shut. Everyone of you that are trashing Allen don’t know anything about him cause if you did then you would pray for this young man. Allen has had some real bad things happen to him in the last few months and he could really use people praying for him in stead of putting him down. This ? goes out to everyone who trashes Allen have any of you tried praying to God to help this young man get on the right path. Also to all of you that trash Allen I wish you would stop putting him down he has a nephew who loves his uncle and he doesn’t need to hear all the trash.

All you are doing in reporting these tawdry little incidents is diminishing your reputation as a serious news source.

This is cheap tabloid sensationalism, and enough is enough.

  • Guest says:

He burned his house in attempt to get the insurance money, why wouldn’t he fake his car being stolen to get insurance money.

  • anne says:

Sounds like a relative responding to the criticism. Perhaps you would be better to sit down with him and talk about his actions. Yes you are right. All of us need to be in prayer for all involved in this situation. But these are choices that he has made and he is reaping the consequences of those choices. He hasn’t shown any inclination to make changes.

Only those truly involved know the true story, but from what we see and hear, it looks like “Frog” which by the way is a stupid name anyway, and his pals have had a sugar daddy for too long and the source is drying up so they are reacting to it. They might get a little more sympathy from the public if they would come clean and tell the story and then attempt to clean their acts up. Until they do, unfortunately, right or wrong, they are being held up to public ridicule.

It’s too bad someone didn’t steal STRICKLAND along with his car!!!It’s such a ridiculous situation..and he is such a putts!! He needs to go far away and start a life somewhere else!!

  • frogfanclub says:

Tabor City would be dull without Frog. What’s wrong wid chew?

  • SurfCityTom says:

he drives a BMW just like Daddy Senator RC.

at least with the tracking device they should be able to tell whether he took a joy ride as he did with the Vette.

  • Paul says:

What the heck is with this incessant coverage of this kid? It is driving me nuts. Almost all of it is completely non-newsworthy. It reads like a cable tv stupid reality show. PLEASE find something else to cover that actually is important to your viewers!!! This is beyond ridiculous.

  • Mondo says:

We are not surprised or impressed with the idiots in Tabor City that have been in the news more than anyone we could name. Someone needs to end the drama and stop these news divas from continuing on.

  • Guest says:

I’m sure all the people in the area are sick and tired of hearing about Soles and Frog. Why not put the two of them on a little island by themselves to live “happily” ever after (or kill themselves)

  • Guest3289073071 says:

Man I am surprised this hasnt become a TV series yet !
