WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Tea Party members took to the streets of Wilmington Saturday morning for a silent rally.

When Tina Sims, a 47-year-old unemployed woman from Hattiesburg, Mississippi left a post online asking Americans of any party affiliation to step outside on the morning of September 17 holding a sign asking “Can You Hear Us Now?” a group at the intersection of College and Oleander answered the call.

Frank Nichols said that their actions were “letting our officials know that we’re still here, we’re not going anywhere, and we’re holding their feet to the fire. We’re sort of keeping them honest. And basically that’s why we’re out here now.” Nichols added that they hope to keep people who couldn’t be there aware of what is going on.

Romney has no chance because he is a Morman. Most right wingers will not vote for him.

Perry will not win because he is a blowhard. Most Americans do not like blowhards.

Palen will not win because she is a lunatic.

Print out this post and save it until after the election.

God help us if I am wrong!

“Romney has no chance because he is a Morman. Most right wingers will not vote for him.” – They said the same thing about Kennedy because he was a Catholic. Didn’t seem to hurt his chances any.

“Perry will not win because he is a blowhard. Most Americans do not like blowhards.” – If by blowhard you mean someone who is boastful, I think (Bill and/or Hilary) Clinton would win on that one.

“Palen will not win because she is a lunatic.” – I think Nixon came pretty close. Some people thought Johnson was a lunatic too, but I just think he was rude, crude, and obnoxious.

Ha! Thanks for my laugh of the day!!!

Otherwise known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I spelled your name wrong in a previous post.

Certainly Kennedy , Nixon and Johnston were of questionable ethics and morals.

Name one politician who is pure.

I am pretty sure that the above named three are DEAD.

That was then. This is now.

A previous poster advised me not to give up. Vote the rascals out.

I have been trying to do that for fifty years.

Sometimes it is hard to see the trees for the forrest.

Herman Cain…this guy is not a career politician. Herman has a knack for problem solving and thinks outside the box. He makes more sense than any candidate now running.

Yeah folks, there you go, good advice….vote for Herman Cain, oh but I almost forgot, he won’t be nominated!!!!

I too voted Mc Cain/Palin, but knew he was worn out before the end. Theres time …look.at the most positive aspects of the Republican candidates. Most are very sane. I love gingrich, but he won’t get the nod…and her has a high bill at Tiffinys, a lotta baggage and others view him as a career politician.

Whatever you do, don’t vote for this Socialist….and all his Harvard professors that are secretworking hard to get him reeelected.
If you love to pay taxes, vote Democratic.
If you love to pay for entitlement abusers, vote Democratic
Otherwise, vote SMART, there is plenty of time,
Obama camp is worried that he won’t be able to play golf all day in 2013.

I am a mad old white man. But I manage to get up every morning, put a smile on my face and go have a cup of coffee with friends.

Tea party people seem to wake up pis–d off every day. My god, what a miserable life they must live.

i am not happy with a lot that is going on in this country- but, it is what it is.

Get a life! Go to an art thing. Give your significant other a back massage. Take a laxative. whatever will relieve your anger.

Your anger is not going to help anything. And the politicians who are pandering to you will betray you.

watch and see!!

Wade, you may be old, but you look maaarvelous, baby!

You may be mad, but you’re not insane, it is justified…and we all know exactly what you mean without listing the multiple economic, social and political woes that makes intelligent folks stomachs churn and skin crawl when they think about it too much.

You have lived long enough to pass on some good advice and I especially like the part about your ability to smile! Me too.

I saw the tea-party ‘protesters’ on the news tonite. They are a little weird, but their focus is on the bad operators in political office.
I think I counted 6 tea party people and they really made an impression on me. The sign, “can you hear me now” made me smile. I imagined Sargent Carter on Gomer Pyle yelling, “I CAN’T HEEEAAAR YOU.”

Stay away from kooks like them, but vote every last loser outta office. We can still save our country. Thanks for fun advice and continue to Smile!

Don’t give up my friend. “It is what it is”, you say…but ONLY until 2012.

CHANGE who sits in the oval office.
HOPE the obamas have to live on Unemployment.
BELIEVE we can regain our footing and that our nation is not ruined!

America. American. Jobs. Prosperity. Wealth. Oil. Drilling. Market. Companies Beating the Street.Oh Happy Day. Don’t Quit Believing in Tomorrow!

You’re giving the same advice as the Tories gave colonists in the 1770’s.

We need MORE anger. We need people who are simply going to refuse to see this country slide into a Socialist welfare state. If anything, the Tea Partiers are too meek.

for one thing…
Why is ONE SOLE person pictured and WHY is she holding that flag?

Looks pretty sad. Pathetic, really.

I used to share their enthusiasm and want to be associated with tea partiers, but then local nut-case, County Commissioner B.B. ruined their local image so bad that I wouldn’t dare ASSOCIATE, let alone…fund them this time around.

Was there only ONE woman who showed up or was the photographer a Left-Wing Loon who had their own agenda?

I guess you would have supported all the patriots and founding fathers abandoning the Revolution after Benedict Arnold’s plot was uncovered.

Brian Berger is one mixed up, immature man, but you’ll let him influence your political decisions? Wow….

2015 years 9 months ago

You should move out to Idaho or somewhere else out West with the other kooks. Wake up! This has been a welfare state since the FDR administration. Are you just seeing this. Why weren’t you speaking up 8 or 16 or 30 years ago? If you think a bunch of idiots dressed up like Patrick Henry on street corners is going to change anything, think again. What would happen if suddenly Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, Unemployment Benefits, AFDC, Military Benefits, and all the rest were gone? Chaos! It would make the protests in Iran look like 3rd graders. So, give it up, you are done before you even got started.

The GOP has some very serious issues, first and foremost that their backbones are made of overcooked linguine. They’re once again doing nothing to get their message out, and seem totally impotent to counter anything that dolt in the White House is preaching.

If the national GOP remains true to form, they will push victory away with both hands and the unattainable second term will come to fruition. They need a strong leader who isn’t interested in making deals or making peace with the Socialists.

The Tea Party is the ONLY chance we (Republicans, Conservatives, Libertarians) have to stop Obama, Act II and we need to be whipping people into a frenzy NOW to get them on board. We need to go for the jugular and not sit by, mealy-mouthed and silent, when the media labels us as “extreme.” As long as the platform follows the Constitution, none dare call it extreme.

2015 years 9 months ago

Just the local yokels.
I do not abandon the ideals or the principles of our founding fathers, I would have thought you knew me better! Why are you wowing me?
And while I believe in stump speeches at the town square, the modern day version of that is not to have Ben Franklin excited over a rare beep of a horn. It isn’t cutting it, period.

Between the tea party and the GOP at the local level, they are an absolute disgrace. Why would I give another moment of my time to them locally? They ENDORSED the heck out of him, and then didn’t have the balls to ask Berger to step down….. how the hell are they EVER going to speak up and DEMAND OBAMA to step down??!!!
The FEW jerks we have at the helm are UnABLE to organize.

I would no more associate with them than I would with mealy-mouthed, politically correct individuals, or goofballs who have a 2012 Obama bumper sticker on their caddy…..although most have been QUILTED into ripping them off, thanks to posts, social media, overt talk and email telling them to “CHANGE”, or that is all they will have left in the bank.
Hey, who lovesyababy?

and look what we got. A man who has no conception of military service. A man who came from the Chicago world. A man who many would call “The Accidental President.”

I did not put this man in office- but, we seem to be stuck with him.

If the Republicans had one (Just one) person who seemed sane, I would be happy to vote for him/her.

Is anybody out there who wants to point out the sane Republican?

If I can just remember where!

Sometimes I regret going on here because I have had death threats- but, I have to speak. It is what we are all about. It is about being an American.
We must speak out!
