This is nothing less than a witch hunt..the poor family is already sadden,so poring salt on a hurt, does it really help…what will society gain by them being jailed..but a abortionist can commit a horrific act,and be ok…..Jesus preach compassion forgiveness, and never vengence…He alone is the righteous judge….The christian community need to call these people{justice system} to the carpet..let them know what the word of the lord says..

I think you’re confusing vengence with justice.

God never said that we are not to judge EVER. He says that we should only judge AFTER casting out the beam that’s in our own eye. God is trying to get us to understand that our own walk had better be straight BEFORE we go around telling other folks what His laws and commands are. God obviously wants us to cast out the beam in our brother’s eye, and He even tells us when we should do it – after our own eyes are beam-free.

I understand your repulsion to abortion; I have the same belief. However, abortion is one of the laws of the land and is not illegal, however much we may wish it to be. We both know what God says about following the laws of the land.

I don’t believe this lady and her grandfather intended for this horrible thing to happen, but I do believe they allowed it to happen by their negligence of allowing this baby to be left alone with animals. Unfortunately, that negligence may cost them dearly.

Why do “Christians” (?) feel the need to begin to pass judgement in a post THEN point to Jesus (who by the way IS NOT the one true judge, per the bible, that would be GOD)as the judge? How about YOUR opinion for a change? These people are saddened? They should be! This baby was THEIR responsibility in their home with their dogs…you can practice what you preach without sticking your head in the sand while acting like a lemming. I guess if these people allowed their dogs to chew up your baby you would practice forgiveness and compassion? Can you find ANYWHERE in your god’s word that says it’s okay to let animals maul a baby while you do nothing? I think not.

What are they going to do, charge everybody in the house with involuntary manslaughter? Involuntary means that it was beyond your control, basically that you didn’t commit an act. What a bunch of idiots running the leagl circus in Clarkton. What about the guy that allowed a small child to ride a lawn tractor a few weeks back? The boy knocked the tractor in gear and ended up under it and was killed bby the blades. Why was this person not charged with at least the same thing or worse. If he was I never heard.

Thank God a real news story with at least a picture as proof. I knew something was fishy about this whole dog killed baby story to start with. Why doesn’t WWAY dig into this and find out why they are all being so tight liped. There has to be more to it. Hey WWAY thanks for a real story now nag these people like you seem to do everyone else at least there are a few REAL facts with this story.

2015 years 8 months ago

OMG now its the grandfathers fault? How aboout keeping it the mothers fault for NOT TAKING CARE OF HER CHILD! She is a sad parent…don’t even want to call her that but, she left the baby did she not? On a fricking counter? give me a break…wonder if she is pregnant again?

2015 years 8 months ago

Most of what WWAY has printed is what someone said they think or know, maybe 10% has been fact. Let’s use our brains people, just because the police are being tight lipped does not mean something totally unthought of happened, it means they are doing their job so the jury won’t be dealing with twisted facts. Let the legal system do their job, let the family greave, it is going to be drawn out for many months. Unless you know the facts you cannot judge, the only ones on earth who will be able to judge will hear the facts as well as they can be remembered through shock and grief. And ultimately God is going to judge what has happened and Every Single Person on Earth who has decided to tear this family apart.

than has been reported. The daughter’s bond was $50,000 and she was released after a couple of hours. The grandfather’s bond is $150,000 and according to the article he is still in custody.

Something is present which causes the bond amount to be varied.

On another note, I do not recall any mention of the child’s Father. Was she married? Did they know the Father’s identity?

OMG, do you really think you know the answer to what happened, lets see maybe she ask grandfather to watch baby while she takes a shower, hears commotion comes out to find her baby lying on the floor and does what she can to save her little baby. Think about it who hasn’t ask someone to watch their child to take a shower or anything else. You shouldn’t judge someone by just what you hear or read. Oh yea the question on being pregnant again, that was just really wrong. Maybe the authorities are trying to get it right not rush in like everyone else and pass judgment before they get all the answers. Just think about it ok

I think I read somewhere that the father was in jail on other charges.

2015 years 8 months ago

Yes she is married and father was in jail, I’m not condoning that but he was not there . Can you imagine the guilt he feels for not being there to protect his little baby. You are right there is more than what has been reported, like I said in the other post do not believe every thing you here and read.

a happy homecoming when he is released.

Had not seen anything posted on a memorial service. Did they allow him to attend his daughter’s service?

What a nice question to ask “Did they know the fathers identity?”. You need help.

You are a sad person to even sit there and try to place blame. You were not there, you do not know what happened. It is a sad event, and yes very tragic. The family has the right to grieve without reporters breathing down their necks and without ignorant people trying to place blame in a situation you know nothing about. For starters just to point out a fact. They are talking about involuntary manslaughter. If you look up the definition of this act it states that it’s the act of unlawfully killing another human being unintentionally and sometimes called criminally negligent homicide in the United States or culpable homicide in Scotland, occurs where there is no intention to kill or cause serious injury but death is due to recklessness or criminal negligence. The key word in that is UNINTENTIONAL which means it was no ones fault not the dogs, or the grandfather or the mother. I know them all personally, She was a caring mother, The dogs were playful and sweet but all animals are capable of harm, and the grandfather would never intentionally place anyone in harms way. Don’t label someone you don’t know about a situation you don’t have the facts on period.

All of you all are ridiculous.
First of all, “charge everyone living in the house”…
That is insane. How are you going to charge people not involved just because they lived in the house?
If I am at work and my wife decides to bring our dobermans in the house and they eat our kids, am I supposed to be held accoutable for her decision. You all come up with some of the most ignorant opinions I have ever heard.
Leave the d@mn people alone and let the system do its job. You cry punish this one and then cry set this one free. Make up your mind what you want.

There are many reasons this is a family tragedy.

For me, the infant is dead….followed by the animals were removed from the home, probably to be euthanized.

In truth, in my opinion the mother, the father, the grandfather….any and all adult human beings residing in the home are responsible for the death of the baby, accident or not.

The animals …. so easily disposed of, hold no responsibility at all…they were doing what nature dictates, yet they pay the ultimate price.

While I am saddened for the family for the arrest of the mother and grandfather, who else would you hold accountable?

Why is every1 so quick to place blame on the dogs in this story and not the people? Rottweilers and Pitbull Terriers HAVE TO BE TRAINED TO ATTACK and FIGHT. THEY ARENT BORN THAT WAY!!! IF THEY WERE, AS SOON as they were old enough to walk, their would only be 1 (the strongest) left in the litter!!!
God bless the family all of them. God curse WHOEVER was STUPID ENOUGH TO TRAIN A DOG OF ANY BREED TO BE VISCIOUS!!!
This is from some one who has a 15 year old, a 20 year old, and 28 year old children. I have also had bulldogs, rottweilers and all types of birds, animals and everything around them…raised together…not to hate anything….the only thing my dogs have attacked has been a food bowl. I have 4 bulldogs now…they may snap at each other, they live together, not seperated, no fighting over more than a bone that 1 has and the others dont!!!

You know, so many have cast their opinion one way or the other. The truth is most of us have pets, and ANY dog, cat or animal can attack of course some breeds have higher incidents so for all of you that have said oh yes how dare them, they are responsible. If you have a pet and didnt “dispose” of them before a new baby was brought into your home, then you too are as guilty as this family. I am CERTAIN that NONE of them brought that precious baby home and said… here Rover play with this!!… It is a tragic incident, but sometimes bad things just happen and actually to search for fault or a person to blame is not justified. If you have a pool and a child you are just as irresponsible as this family..a pool can be disposed of.. how about a car?? we put our children in our cars everyday knowing there is a chance they could die… therefore perhaps we too are irresponsible. How many of you have a trampoline? Children die everyday on them, skateboards? The list could go on and on. In the whole just of it, we are born to die. We dont have time stamps, some are here only moments and some over a hundred of years. My heart goes out to this poor family may God give them strength, knowledge, and understanding through this time in their lives.

Christians are often accused of “judging” whenever they speak out against what they see as a sinful activity because of the Bible verse that say, “Do not judge.” But if you read the rest of that same verse, it says not to judge hypocritically. but to “take the speck out of your own eye and then you will see clearly enough to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” What Jesus was condemning here was hypocritical, self-righteous judgments of others, not that Christians shouldn’t judge at all.

I agree with your post that the adults in the house need to be held legally responsible for this terrible tragedy. But I wanted to clear up a mistaken belief that a lot of Christians (and others who read these posts) have about judging.

Thank you for giving me that opportunity.

It’s definitely interesting to me that both the mother and the grandfather are being charged here. There is a LOT more to this story than has been released so far. It was previously reported that EMS arrived on the scene and found the baby face down still on the floor, and furthermore that the baby was still alive but died of her injuries later at the hospital. It’s disturbing enough that the mother left her child in such a position to begin with. Now I’m wonder exactly how long the baby laid there before EMS was even called. IF the family waffled on calling EMS for an extended period and IF the injuries would have been survivable if they had acted more timely, then the charges seem appropriate. But that is pure speculation and I would caution anyone from making snap judgements against the family or the prosecution… we just don’t have access to all the facts.
