WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- It was a night of transformation for Children at Heart Adoption Services.

"We moved into this office in April then we were given a huge gift in June when we connected with Paysage and they donated all of this beautiful furniture for our birth mothers support group space," Assistant Director for Children at Heart, Erica Willock, said.

Paysage designer Melissa Sutton splashed on some new paint and brought in some traditional pieces with a modern twist. And you can't miss the faces of those who have been placed in loving homes. Sutton says her vision for the project started with one piece of furniture.

"This one chair just lent itself and seemed like it needed to be in an environment with children and families so that was the inspiration."

Leaders with Children at Heart, which facilitates international and domestic adoptions, sparked the donation from Paysage through Facebook.

"Paysage was doing ‘Thirty Days of Good Fortune’ and they asked what anyone might wish for from their store and I had just actually said that we needed more comfortable furniture and asked if they would maybe want to donate one piece that would be amazing. When they contacted us and said they wanted to do the whole room, I was shocked," Willock said.

A new room for those looking for a new outlook on their adoption experience. These four walls facilitate hope and healing.
