WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A bumpy ride home for a couple of New Hanover County school busses. Highway Patrol says two busses were involved in a fender bender on Castle Hayne Road at Victoria Drive this afternoon.

Investigators say the two busses were from New Hanover High School. While one bus was empty, the other bus was carrying about ten students.

A New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office spokesman says no one was hurt, and no one was taken to the hospital. Dispatch had earlier reported five students went to the hospital complaining of pain.

Troopers tells us the accident happened when one bus failed to yield to the other. Both busses were able to drive away after the crash.
