BLADEN COUNTY (WWAY) — Dozens of Bladen County third graders got a chance to learn outside of the classroom today.

Ag’em Up Day gave students an opportunity to get hands-on while exploring different aspects of agriculture. Seven different stations were set up, which included lessons on cotton, soil, and swine just to name a few.

Teachers say the event gave their third graders an understanding on how important agriculture is in Bladen County.

The instructors for Ag’em Up Day were students themselves from both East and West Bladen High Schools. As for the third graders, they said it was very cool to see and touch the baby pigs.
