Blizzard scores ten in 80-78 win in Italy


BOLOGNA, ITALY (WWAY) -- Former UNC Wilmington basketball standout Brett Blizzard is back in Italy playing pro basketball for Fortitudo Biancoblu Basket Bologna (Conad Bologna).

On Sunday Blizzard's team won their second game of the season 80-78 over Prima Veroli. The WWAY Full Court Press co-host scored 10 points in his team's road win. Blizzard had 7 assists. UNCW's all-time leading scorer played 31 minutes. We've posted the box score below.

The next game for Brett Blizzard's team will be October 23rd against Pistoia. Blizzard's team gets one week off during the regular season. Sunday, October 16th will be the off week for his squad this season. There are 15 teams in the Italian 2 League. Brett Blizzard's team is tied for first place at 2-0 with three other teams: Brescia, Imola and Jesi.
