WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Coast Guard Cutter Diligence is a draw along downtown Wilmington’s Riverwalk, but for the next several months it will not be open to visitors.
The Diligence has temporarily suspended tours because of a prolonged maintenance period. For safety reasons, the dockside maintenance period requires the closure of the Coast Guard pier in front of Diligence to all foot traffic.
The pier will re-open in early December. Tours will resume in early February when the Diligence returns from a two-month deployment.
