WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It might not feel like the holidays, but downtown Wilmington is sure starting to look a lot like Christmas.

City crews put up wreaths last week. Today they set up the city’s Christmas tree along the riverfront.

Because there are only a few people responsible for all of the lights, they started early to make sure everything is ready for the holidays.

The city will light the tree at a ceremony on Friday, November 25.
