NEW YORK (AP) - In the men's college basketball coaching galaxy,it's now Coach K and then everybody else.

Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski became Division I's all-time winningest men's coach when No. 6 Duke beat Michigan State 74-69 in the State Farm Champions Classic at Madison Square Garden. That's Coach K's 903rd win, breaking the tie with Bob Knight, his college coach at Army and his mentor throughout his professional career. Krzyzewski has coached 37 years overall, the last 32 at Duke where he has posted 830 of his 903 wins. He has racked up four national titles, 11 Final Fours and 13 Atlantic
Coast Conference tournament titles. Besides turning Duke into a perennial national powerhouse, Coach K also has coached the U.S.Olympic team to a gold medal in Beijing three years ago. He gets a chance at an Olympic double when he coaches Team USA in the Summer Games next year in London.

In the end, Coach K was self-effacing, giving all credit to his players. Said the winningest coach in Division I history: "Coaches get very lucky when we're at good places."

Junior guard Andre Dawkins had 26 points for Duke, which took control with a 20-1 run that gave the Blue Devils a 61-41 lead with 9:17 to play and then it was just a matter of counting down the minutes until the celebration could get under way. Duke is 3-0.
