Robbery on Carolina Beach Road, suspect still at-large


WILMINGTON,NC (WWAY)-- An employee of Intercoastal Pawn and Jewelry was robbed earlier this afternoon after leaving the store.

The robbery happened at 2054 Carolina Beach Road.

The victim told Wilmington Police that the suspect was armed with a knife, took her jewelry then hit her a few times on the head.

A police spokeswoman says they were looking for the suspect throughout the late afternoon on the ground and in the air using the SABLE helicopter, but they did not find him.

The suspect is described as a 6'2 black male and was wearing a ski mask and all black clothing.

Why not let the Army/Navy and Air Force seek out this robber and save your Whirly Bird's fuel? Maybe the C.I.A. will come in from D.C. and help out as well and bring in a few Fighter Jets ;-)
