Wilmington home prices inching upwards

WILMINGTON, NC (NEWS RELEASE) — Homes across Wilmington continue to gain value according to new data released today by CoreLogic.

The data show home prices rose by 0.9 percent in October compared to this same time last year.

CoreLogic reports that nationally, home prices continue to decline in response to the weak demand for housing. Home prices decreased by 3.9 percent in October 2011 compared to October 2010. On a month-over-month basis, prices fell by 1.3 percent. CoreLogic analysts are forecasting national home prices will remain flat through 2013.
