WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Last week it was elves. Today we had some very special reindeer stop by our station.

Pre-schoolers from Childcare Network came by to help those less fortunate through Toys for Tots. With their noses painted red they each brought a toy in for a little boy or girl in need.

Elijah Schrader says he was excited to come to the station and drop off toys

“We’re putting toys in the box so Santa can come pick them up and give them so he can give them to the boys and girls that don’t have toys,” he said.

Elijah said he wants all kids to have toys to play with this Christmas.

And that serves as a great reminder that Thursday is the last day for you to drop off new and unused toys at our studios.

If you’re out doing any holiday shopping this evening, remember that some families are not quite as fortunate. Help the Marine Corps, Toys for Tots and WWAy give kids the Christmas they deserve.
