BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the inmate who died last week in the county jail.

Investigators say Steven Allan Myers, 21, of Cary, died Friday of an apparent suicide when he was alone in a cell at the Brunswick County Detention Center.

Myers was booked into the jail Dec. 20 on charges of assault on a female, assault by strangulation and communicating threats. He was under $200,500 bond.

The State Bureau of Investigation is still looking into Myers’s death.

So then, since you are the expert here, I guess you also know that he called the police because he was the one being assaulted and was the “victim” but because of ignorant people like yourself he was charged and by the way so was she ..on numerous counts and outstanding warrants. As a matter of fact he was a “nice fella”, and someones son, grandson and meant a great deal to his family. But you must have known all of the details before you would make such an ignorant statement.

Not much for the SBI to look for. Charged with: Assault on a female, Assault by STRANGULATION…and communicating THREATS. Nice fella, huh?

I only thank him for doing society a favor. I’m especially thankful his victim(s)survived…so many don’t!

Explain suicide. Is that when The Sheriff deputies find you hanging alone in your cell, with your hands tied behind your back?

Why were you there if you know so much please let us know how you think his hands were tied behind his back? Or your just negative about any leo?
