Man who smuggled gun into NC jail not injured

JACKSONVILLE, NC (AP) -- Authorities say medical officials found no signs of injury during an exam of a man suspected of smuggling a handgun into a North Carolina jail.

Onslow County Sheriff Ed Brown told The Daily News of Jacksonville that a medical exam on Friday showed that 22-year-old Michael Leon Ward of Canton, Ga., had suffered no injuries.

Deputies said last week a gun was found inside the cell of Ward, who used another person's identity when he was booked. Authorities wanted medical officials to evaluate Ward for possible injuries to his rectum, where deputies think he concealed the unloaded .38-caliber, six-barrel revolver.

North Carolina deputies stopped Ward last week for speeding. He is wanted on a murder charge in Atlanta. Ward was being held at the Onslow County jail without bond.

I fail to believe it is even possible....

...for anyone to conceal a .38 cal revolver with a 6" barrel up their rectum. I know there are lots of people that have put lots of different things there, but this one doesn't seem possible, especially without any sort of "damage". It would resemble a cooked ham with the bone removed.

Someone, somewhere did a really, really bad job frisking this thug over on his way in, or else someone did a "drop-off"! At any rate, that was a bad situation allowing a prisoner a loaded weapon...they need to get to the bottom of this one (no pun intended)!

Oh yeah?

Oh yeah? Goatse.

Guess you didn't read the story too well

If you'd read the entire story carefully before commenting, you'd have noticed that the gun was not loaded.

Thank you my brilliant reader...

...but if you had read MY post carefully before commenting, you would observe that my main point was the "fit" of the weapon and "how" it found itself in a jail cell. Loaded or not has nothing to do with that. Do you enjoy looking like the southern end of a north-bound mule or is that just your natural stature?

You're the only one looking like an a$$. Like a typical conservative, if wrong call people names.

It was probably loaded when

It was probably loaded when it came out.

Gee, that's just swell!

We were all SOOOOO worried about his rear end....

Glad the criminal wasnt

Glad the criminal wasnt injured. Especially since it was a 6 barrel revolver. Those can be quite tricky to get out of the rectum.
