WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man is in jail after investigators say they found drugs in his home.

Detectives with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Vice and Narcotics division responded to 473 Grouse Ct. in Wilmington about a drug complaint.

Detectives say they saw Eric Jerome Davis, 34, walking away from the apartment. They tried to stop Davis and caught him after a short chase.

Detectives then got a search warrant for the apartment, where they found one pound of marijuana and packaging supplies in Davis’s bedroom.

Davis is currently under a $50,000 secure bond in the New Hanover County Detention Facility.
