WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — About this time last year, leaders of the beach towns voiced their concerns about not being visually represented on the walls of the new convention center. When it launched, only historic photos of Wilmington were hanging.

Thursday night, the Town of Wrightsville Beach will discuss spending $2,300 to buy new photos of the town to include at the convention center.

I got photos I’ll blow and and give them for half that!!!!!

WB is wasting tax payers money on that!!! $2300 can go to soooo much better things!

Personally I think that local artist should “consign” the pitcures to the convention center .. this will help support local art and give a kick back to the convention center.

Why buy photos?? There are plenty out there that some would be willing to give up to get exposure!

Nothing says “we’re glad to see you” more than a license plate scanning, background checking system. They could even have a catchy little slogan with the photo like “Come on down and check us out ’cause ya can bet your last seashell we’ll be checking you out”.

Will they also discuss their breaking town policy by NOT releasing the names of the three suspended officers?

The left over food wrappers and disposable diapers left on the beach around 5pm? How about some action shots of fat drunks fighting?
