Crosses up again

With last nights victory over Ken Cross and East Bladen's fraudulent basketball program, The basketball Gods get it right, once again. This man is credited for this so called resurgence at his new school, but he didn't play anyone until he got into his conference! No winning teams! He has no discipline himself, so he allows his JV team to run amuck and folds that mid way through the year. Meanwhile, his cronies keep writing about how he is a legend, when the only thing legendary about him is his legendary ability to choke when the big games are on the line. Granted, the kids won a state championship at West one time in his tenure, but how many chances did he blow since then? They were up big last year at the Crown and he blew that with poor coaching. Up 18 the year before, same result. And now, despite John Clark's claim that this man is the best and only coach in the region, he loses to a first year guy who took his place, twice! Rather than celebrate that West Bladen now has a young coach who will be around forever, they had a memorial service for the guy who quit on them, made him their parade king, and roll him out like a relic every time anything happens in our town. He quit on us! He claims he was uncomfortable, according to Clark. Uncomfortable because he was not going to get away with doing whatever he wanted anymore? Because he was no the so called King of the school? So, East Bladen picks up the leftovers and thinks that is their answer. If the last two coaches were allowed to play the weakest schedule on Earth, have illegal practices in New Town, and recruit out of district players, maybe they would have finished better. But that is not the case. So there you have it. No JV program, two losses to the new guy across town, no quotes when they lose, a third place finish, and a man who is only legendary in his and his blind buddy's eyes. By the way, many people do not believe that he ever won 600 plus games. We would love to see some fact checking on that one. Maybe John Clark can get out from his Mom's basement and dig around a little bit for us. 600 wins? All That matters is Ofer....0 for Two against West, where Cross' magic wasn't so magic after all. Maybe it was our kids all along.
