WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY)-- The Town of Wrightsville Beach took another step Thursday night to end a controversy involving police officers Robert Miller and Shaun Appler, who were both demoted and had a cut in pay.
Following a closed session meeting, Town Manager Bob Simpson read a statement saying Officers Miller and Appler had been subjected to disciplinary action as a result of their involvement in an investigation and detention of persons at a location outside the boundaries of the Town of Wrightsville Beach. There were no specific details about the location of the incident or the persons involved.
Mr. Simpson went on to say that the town investigation revealed no evidence of any criminal conduct.

get em on tape people, hold their rear ends to the fire...
Difficult to Understand
how so many people were eager to put in their 2 cents worth and now that the town has fessed up some information, this wind storm seems to have blown through.
Just wondering
if they have a video of this so call investigation and detention? or names of the involved persons? Will we ever truely know just what happened to cause the Chief to want to terminate them? Guess not.
Anybody know how many
Anybody know how many officers were on duty at the time these two chose to leave the town's jurisdiction?
