BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Two fire departments in Brunswick County are getting help from the federal government.

Leland Fire Rescue and the Bald Head Island Fire Department are each getting money from the the US Department of Homeland Security for operations and safety improvements.

Leland is getting $1 million, while Bald Head is getting $49,526. The money is from Homeland Security’s Firefighters Assistance Program.
