WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington-based company is looking to grow after joining forces with another company.

HomeInsurance.com provides home and auto insurance. Now the company is growing and providing some job security for its employees.

Charlotte-based Red Ventures recently acquired HomeInsurance.com and looks to expand its workforce.

Red Ventures’ Senior Vice President Tim Kullick says the merger does not only mean growth for the company but for the people working there as well.

“For them, it will mean more opportunities for advancement in their careers,” he said. “It means they could potentially take on other positions, people that are performing well, at other red ventures campus locations in Charlotte and Miami and San Antonio. So essentially it creates more opportunities for people that work here.”

Red Ventures says it continues to expand throughout the country and Wilmington was a great place to start.
